Lounge Party, Laugh Fest etc

This week was another of work, work, work... about 70 hours which is more than I have done recently but better than last year for sure! Love having enough staff... it was a busy week though with complicated patients all around. Still loving having Sarah cooking healthy food for me and using that as my meals. Met with Shinta on my day off and it was such a nice time. Did cross country with Clifford a lot and Brad a little and plan to do something fun with my dog today before maybe watching a little of the Oscars. Really haven't seen many of the movies but love Bill Crystal. Also went to some of the comedy fest with a friend which was very fun Fri night and a GREAT LOUNGE PARTY at another friend's house last night (sorry about the dark pix). They had done their music studio up great, there were about 100 people there and the music was fantastic. Really nice but I was really tired. Slept in til 7:30am this morning and now about to go out with Clifford for some exercise. Then I better study for my PALS course on Tues and get ready for the week... Hope you all had a good one! PS at least Brad is a better parker than the person in the cartoon... it did feel like a cartoon event when it happened :)

PPS I hate this site... no matter how much I edit it comes out messed up... Valentines day week in Aspen...

Twas a fantastic Valentines day... worked then sledded then went to the Blind Cafe with Brad and friends. Read about it on Bridget's blog. http://mountain-musings.blogspot.com/2012/02/aspen-blind-cafe.html Also had a huge surprise in the paper... had a busy week at work, heard a friend who is one of the best pediatric oncology nurses I have ever met just got diagnosed this week with 2 cancers, Hodgkins lymphoma and a diffuse large B cell lymphoma... am sending him LOTS of positive vibes through the internet and ethernet... cross country skied with Clifford about 7 miles today in BEAUTIFUL weather, ate at a new Thai Restaurant in Aspen and it was fantastic and included sticky rice with mango... etc etc etc... Next week is incredibly busy for me but this week was pretty darn good for me (not for Patrick... but hopefully now that he knows what he's got he can kick butt with some CHOP-R to get on the road to recovery)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

winter sports

So this week consisted of work, hiking, skinning up Buttermilk and a bit of bike envy... My friend has a new bike for winter/sand dunes and she rocked it the other night for a late night after work bike/skin up the mountain. Clifford loved going with us. Shinta is looking at buying a new house for her and her growing family. Not much else new this week other than Sarah is cooking rocking healthy food for me, going to an English in Action dinner tomorrow night and life goes on. Well, unfortunately, not for a great singer who passed away. Whitney Houston who had a most spectacular voice until she got into drugs/etoh died tonight. That was one of the most unfortunate, avoidable losses in the music industry lately. She was so talented until... Very sorry to hear that.

another typical week with a cold...

started the week going to mom's favorite resteraunt that she has never been to... a fantastic meal... then work as usual and Sarah making me great food (someone has to) which has lots of vegies to help me eat better... got a cold and have had a wonderful weekend of DOING NOTHING... in fact Fri night came home from work at 7pmand slept from 8pm-7am... twas great to be able to do that!
