spring/storm/call

Spring was here til this storm reminded us we still live in the mountains. The heat has come on and the red puffy jacket has been resurrected. I am on my last 12 hours of my 80 hour week and life overall is good. Went to a good lecture on spinal injuries in sports, had a great peer review committee meeting and a nice dinner out with a friend this week on top of work, trying to exercise and life. LUCKILY I don't have to work tomorrow (originally I was scheduled to but my PA wanted the $ and realized she had a short week). I will be out of commission for the next 2 weeks since I will be working Tues and Wed and then will be flying to Fiji on Fri for my Wilderness Medicine course. Have been reading up on stuff in preparation which has been interesting. Also reading more on plant based diets and enjoying what I have been reading/learning there. Eating overall a more healthy and balanced diet. I just wish this country didn't work on greed but worked instead on every one's health and welfare. We would all be eating better and that would help solve some of the health care crisis costs. Oh well.

work, call, work, skin up Tiahak at night and ski down with Brad and Clifford, work, meetings, work, work (17 patients sat am before noon) and then 2 birthday parties sat night 1 in snowmass and 1 in carbondale, blessed hike and home to catch up on work... :)

Kim in pink snowpants!

Pictures to follow but I did some retail therapy. I actually bought myself new pink snowpants yesterday which were on sale in town. The last time I bought snowpants were >10 years ago and have been looking for some with insulation. I bet you can't wait to see the pictures :).
