9th anniv with Brad

This is our 9th year anniversary week and it has been action paced... work was there as usual but Wed we exchanged cards and I got my 9th card with a moon on it for my anniversary (VERY NICE). Thurs night after work we met up at Weller Lake campground and I hiked up to the lake with Clifford.... It was spectacular... Woke up Fri early, hiked again, went to work, and then after work met Brad for a nice dinner (he brought me roses) and then a bike and carriage ride to the Jazz Aspen Concert. The headliner was Monty Alexander but I preferred the openers even more... a blind guitar player and an incredibly talented base player. They were quite uniqe and talented! The show was great. We have had a visiting Aikido Sensei staying at our house and teaching classes so that has kept Brad very busy. I hiked up Aspen mountain yesterday and today and it was spectacular with incredible weather. Back to work tomorrow!

Hope you all had a great week! Love and peace out to the universe...

Happy Fathers Day!

Thinking about my dad and how lucky I am to have been born to him. A good, honest, hard working man who taught me ethics and a sense of doing good during my lifetime. Thank you.
This week has been the typical with work... on season has come. I have gotten some hiking in and love spending time when I am not at work out and about with my dog. No new animal omens other than the occasional deer and a porcupine quill in Cliffords foot this morning. We will be joining Brad's folks for a bday/fathers day dinner tonight (rafting got postponed due to weather). I will enjoy a little of food and wine today thanks to Brad. Other than that it is back to work this week IF I DON'T GET PICKED FOR JURY DUTY TOMORROW... WHAT A FRIGGEN PAIN AND I WANT THEM TO CANCEL MY PATIENTS IF I DO. I look forward to doing it one day- when I am older, wiser, and not distracted by the fact that I should be seeing patients.
Love and peace to you all!

Animal Omens....

So got back from Strawberry in time for Patti to show up for a visit. I haven't seen her in over 8 years and that is WAY too long to miss your best friend. She came Fri night with a friend and her friend's new psychotic dog. It was nice and since her friend left early Sat Patti and I got the rest of the weekend to ourselves (Brad was out of town). We hiked and saw a baby fawn (no picture) and hawks etc. It was fabulous. Sunday we went rafting down class 4 waters (a first for Patti and with a GREAT guide we had a phenominal time. We saw a blue heron on the river and generally got wet and had lots of laughs. Then I got back to work and re-entry wasn't as bad as expected. However, I was very tired since I was working all day and trying to spend as much time with Patti as I could at night. I brought her to Eagle airport on Wed and on the way back saw big horn sheep and later on a hike a mom and baby foxes. Yesterday Brad and I went to the Palisades music festival in Mercy and saw Junior Brown who was FANTASTIC! We stayed in Mercy on the river which was great and then got home today. Clifford and I went hiking and saw this baby bear on the way up the hill. Patti had just emailed me a story about Zoe remembering me since I had told her to say her scratch was from a bear years ago and her friends thought that was cool. Patti says the animals talk to us and are omens so I decided this bear was telling me hi from her and GET THE FOOD OUT OF MERCY or her relatives would eat it :). Fun in beautiful, FINALLY SUNNY AND WARM Aspen...

Strawberry 2011

Had another AWESOME TIME at Strawberry Music Festival at Camp Mather in Yosemite. This year we did the following route; Moab the first night, Grand Canyon (southern part) the second night, Joshua Tree the third night, a night in a RV trailor park (WILD), then to Strawberry. Spent 4+ days there with Clifford in a dog camp outside the park) and then on the way home hit Senora Pass, a great National Park outside of Ely, NV, Moab again and then home. Great camping and hiking and Brad got quite a bit of biking in. The weather was cold and snowy for most of it but overall it was great! The camper worked out wonderfully too. Lots of pix on Facebook. Was A GREAT TIME!
