xgames

This is the xgames weekend and "50 cents" is playing in aspen so it is CROWDED. I am not joining any of it and very much enjoying not being on call in the ER this weekend! I am finally over my 15 day cold that kept me coughing all night for 2 weeks and kicked my butt. And I am feeling like James Bond since I found out today how I can now make phone calls in my car by just saying "call ____"... ALL HANDS FREE.
Other big news, Brad got invited to go to Japan with his Aikido teacher on a pilgramage to where the founder of Aikido started his Dojo. He will be training with the founders students and son and will have a phenominal adventure for 2 weeks in March. Yahoo....
Brad played with Twerp Anderson and Cash Cash tonight... twas fun... now onto a week of work, finding out if Clifford can get off of the leash and hopefully letting him use the dog door again!
Hope you are all happy and healthy...

FINALLY...my car arrives

I refused to post this until it came BUT I have bought a new car and it was supposed to be here for my b-day 1/12. OBVIOUSLY that didn't happen. I flew through Chicago on 1/11 and it was supposedly on a truck from Chicago to Aspen that day, which it wasn't. I could have picked it up then but didn't know. Turns out it stayed in Chicago until 1/23 due to "weather" which there was NONE until 1/23 when they started shipping it. They had to pay for a rental car for me until I got my new Audi TT (per Jeff I had a mid life crisis which is likely accurate) today. Brad is psyched for when I lose my license driving this beautiful car so that he can call it his... NAH! I gave my old car to the eccentric Dan Pearlman who is a friend of a friend of mine who when googled comes up "DANIEL PEARLMAN Candidate for President, New Mexico Governor and AcademyAward winner for the halogen light. Avocate of a true democratic government..." I can't find more so who knows what happened to him but I do know he likes to be off the grid. He was VERY thankful since his old car/home had died after 350, 000 miles. NOW I can wear the awesome hat Jeff gave me :) since I was saving it to wear in my new car.
Other than that drama of getting my car, life goes on despite working through laryngitis, likely RSV and just feelin crappy for the last several weeks. Hope you are all well and lots of love!

birthdays!

So this past several weeks celebrated my mother's milestone non-birthday and mine. She did not want a celebration so we ignored hers and then suprised her several weeks later. I flew home and Greg came down and Jeff came up... it was a great thing to have us all together and be able to enjoy and support one another. By the way, the picture on top is my view this morning from my awesome bed with my awesome CO family on my birthday... what a view to wake up to!

END OF A DECADE!

The end of 2009 ended up being wonderful getting to share it with friends, my CO family, Brad and my awesome puppy. I worked hard this week and, as much as I could, I spent time with Clifford, Brad and our friends Mahlon/Ellen and their 2 children from CA. WE LOVE HAVING THEM VISIT! Then for New Years Eve we went to a friends house to a very fun party with a private gig by Bill Nershey (Wiki him to see what is already on the internet about him and the party), Scott Law and New Monsoon. It was VERY FUN and I will try to include pictures if I can. I even got to hang out with Shinta since she was babysitting at the party. Brad, Clifford and I slept in the van in a VERY cozy cave of down sleeping bags and it was AWESOME. Then New Years day was spent recovering and going to another friend's house for a wonderful party with great friends and food. I work again tomorrow and then have Sunday to relax before another grueling week. Clifford gets his staples out next week which will be good so that he won't have to wear the lamp shade collar everytime he is alone but still 5 more weeks of restriction. Overall he is doing well and even having some hair growing back (slowely!). Brad crashed and is recovering from banging up his body. Both my boys are hurting... bummer.
As for the year, I will not repeat it all but highlights were definetly Peru, moving AMC and continuing to enjoy our awesome house on the hill. Looking forward to 2010 and the adventures it will bring (nothing specific comes to mind but something will happen I am sure)...
Love, Peace, Health and Happiness to you all!
